The Department offers two separate programmes:

(i) Sociology as one major in a Combined Major Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (BASS) degree. Sociology can be combined with other subjects such as Demography, Economics, Geography, Environmental Science and Planning, Mathematics, Political Science, Public Administration, and Statistics.

(ii) Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree programme, which is a distinct professional qualification designed to prepare students for the social work profession.
